Hang Glider Leading Edges 

Carbon fibre  leading edges were developed for the Moyes Litespeed RS & Moyes Litespeed S gliders to reduce the amount of wing inertia. This allowed for a substantial improvement in the handling characteristics of the glider. 

Tubular leading edges are produced using the same materials and methods as those used to produce the carbon cross bars. 

We were able to produce a laminate schedule that allowed for an approximately 50% weight saving of the leading edges whilst retaining very similar bend characteristics. 

Two different laminates are now used enabling Moyes to better tune the handling characteristics of their gliders.
