About Us

Composite Creations started in August 1999.

The business was established by owner/manager Ian Duncan after 11 years working in the field of composite yacht construction with the internationally renowned yacht builder McConaghy Boats.

The business was primarily started to produce carbon fibre structures for racing hang gliders. Production of these structures, using pre-impregnated carbon fibres, required a specialised wrapping machine, thermocouple controlled baking oven and hydraulic pusher. All the necessary equipment was designed and built in house. The equipment was completed in 8 weeks and we were up and running.

The 10 years that have past, between starting production and design of this site, has seen our product and customer base grow steadily. Although we still primarily produce hang gliding equipment, and other sporting goods, we have diversified into both industrial, medical and military composite engineering.

Composite Creations can provide you with a complete design, development and production package for your composite product or do repair work to your damaged components. 

We also provide a cutting service using our 2 x 4 metre computerised cutter/plotter which is suitable for cutting dry or prepreg fabrics.
